Stainless steel - solid:

  • the highest tensile strength among all Herm Sprenger materials, so links won’t abrade even after years of use
  • increased rust resistance as it will not rust even if the surface is damaged
  • suitable for conditions of high humidity
  • has a high-gloss surface
  • contains nickel, so will not do for nickel-reactive dogs
  • it doesn’t stain white fur in 9 out of 10 cases
  • wipe it down with a clean, damp cloth
  • for more stubborn dirt, use a little water, some mild soap, and a soft-bristled toothbrush
  • after cleaning, wipe it down with a clean, dry cloth

Herm Sprenger is one of the most recognizable and popular names in obedience training tools. A safe and effective alternative to choker collars, it puts even pressure around the neck, about every half inch, pinching the skin in a band. This collar does not apply direct pressure to the trachea, so you can train your dog with little or no tugging, jerking, or pulling. The addition of a center plate connector can be replaced with a Cliclock quick release buckle and still allows the middle link to be configured symmetrically, enabling the prongs to tighten in the same direction. Made of high quality German stainless steel.
